There's nothing wrong with Bantry!! 

In relation to the sea front, there are plans to rejuvenate the sea front. The inner harbour is going to be dredged and a marina is going to be installed. There is going to be a boardwalk and new facilities all along the sea front. (If you fancy seeing the proposed development, I believe there is a model and posters in the Harbour Masters Office)

It'll take time and money, but Bantry will be even more beautiful once the Town Council are finished with it!

Thank God?

I'm a believer of science, not religion

Something popped into my head a few days ago.. I was saying "Thank God for perfume"* and I got to thinking why do we say 'Thank God' when we're grateful for things? I would say I'm agnostic bordering on atheist if I'm being honest. Ya sure, I'd go to mass most Sundays but it's not really for religious purposes. It is so that my mom doesn't have to go alone all the time. I'm a believer of science, not religion. I've taken to saying 'Thank Jebus' lately though :P

In the perfect world, instead of saying 'Thank God for...', we should be saying 'Thank [inventor] for...'. It wasn't God that made the things we are grateful for (if you want to believe he did, then carry on believing that mumbo-jumbo), but an innovative person.

So, saying all this, here is a list of who to thank next time you're going to say Thanks to!

And before you go thinking I'm a smelly cow for being grateful for perfume, here's the story!
Thursday night on the bus down from Cork to Bantry, a kid was getting sick the whole way down. The following morning, we had the same bus back up to Cork.... and it hadn't been cleaned. So it STANK of stale vomit!  Luckily I had a scarf on and a small bottle of perfume in my bag. So I doused my scarf with perfume and inhaled that the whole way up willing myself to NOT vomit....!!

THANK THE EGYPTIANS FOR PERFUME!!

October Blog Challenges: Supernatural Finale

Your Favourite Season

Season 5 and Season 1 are definitely my favourites! Season 1will always be up there because I fell in love with the show watching Supernatural late at night on TV3.. Supernatural was something completely new and different to other shows being aired in Ireland.

Season 5 was amazing... It had almost every character in it! So many things happened in Season 5 with the boys and Castiel. Also some of the funniest episodes of Supernatural come from Season 5, such as Changing Channels which featured in the previous Supernatural blog post. Favourite Season Finale

I really can't think of one in particular.. they are all so good! Let's go with Season 2: All Hell Breaks Loose (...LITERALLY!). Here's the recap at the start with the awesome Carry On My Wayward Son!

If you haven't watched Supernatural, you probably don't have a clue whats going on.. basically,

1. Sammy was killed.
2. Dean made a crossroad deal (i.e. a deal with the devil) to bring Sammy back to life. His part of the deal was to give his soul to the Devil after one year.
3. Dean, Bobby and Sammy figure out where the door to hell is located using Colt's train lines. 
4. The bad guys get their first and open the door.
5. The good guys arrive and close the door to prevent ALL of hell breaking loose!!

I must admit, I'm going to miss posting random hot pics/videos of the beautiful Dean Winchester... here's one for good measure!!

October Blog Challenges: About Me Finale!

The last two days of the About Me Challenge... *drum roll*

Hopes, Dreams and Plans for the next 365 days

My dream is to win tonight's Euromillions! €100 million wouldn't be too bad!  Bit of a far fetched dream I know sadly!

My plan in essence is to work away where I am for a year or so..save up a few thousand! Then get my visa and flee this country! I intend on going to Australia (and yes that's where everyone is going but I have family living there for decades and it has always been my plan to go back to Australia since I visited there 12 years ago! It's not that I HAVE TO go.. I WANT to go!).. go to Sydney, crash at my aunt's place until I find some sort of job (...and hopefully get sponsorship and then residency!).

But in the meantime, I am working a full time job and just enjoying being in career-limbo :)

I stopped updating this blog challenge regularly when my home internet didn't work for a day or so... then when I got it back, I got lazy! So here's a catch up of some of the days I missed!)

Your week in detail

Monday - Graduation!!!
Tuesday - working 10-8
Wednesday - working 10-8
Thursday - Cork & did a little shopping :)
Friday - Cork & a little more shopping and catching up with people :)
Saturday - Working 9-7, then shower and got dolled up.. had a Bulmers Berry then headed out. Went to my favourite Ma Murphy's first then to the Quays to meet up with the girls from work.Then from there went to the nighclub Cargo and bumped into 2 guys from school that I hadn't seen in over two years! So we had a lovely catch up and did a few shots of Jagameifter because there was a promotion on.. shots for €2.50! Then had a some lovely curry chips and went home and passed out from drunkeness :P

Sunday - Recovering. I was pretty shook after Saturday night! Yet in my drunkeness during Saturday night, I promised I'd go out again Sunday night! My plan was only to go for one or two while checking out Shavers Only... but yeah! We met up with a bunch of people who one of our friend's was out with, and we all ended up doing a bit of an unintentional pub crawl in Bantry! Thankfully we didn't go Cargo-ing though, don't think I would have been able! Then I got a chicken burger at some Gourmet chipper that was around for the weekend and went home and then had a very nerdy chat on Facebook that started with this picture!!

We clearly need help!

This month in detail

Week 1: Finally had the cocktail party with Marie and Suzy! Great night! Started drinking at 7pm and didn't finish til 8am the following morning! Some amazing dancing went down!!
Week 2: Started work. After initial nerves, I got back into the swing of things.. almost like I never left the place! Elsie and Daniel meant to be leaving this week so we went out for a big proper meal at Willie Pa's... I had duck, nom nom!
Week 3: More work. Elsie and Daniel didn't go last week so on my one day off we all went for a walk up the Borlin Valley and then went to Casey's Hotel in Glengarriff for food after (where I enjoyed perving on the hot rugged bar man ;) )
Week 4: Elsie left early this week. My graduation was on Monday. Then Tuesday was Mole Day! ...and the rest of the days are up in the 'Your week in detail' challenge yokey!

This year in detail

(I am far too lazy to do this in great detail! So here's a brief synopsis!)

January - May: College - final year of Chemical Engineering & fecking Design Project. Fun & games and heartbreak with Mark.

June - September: Enjoyed summer holidays with my Aunt Elsie and Uncle Daniel who were home from Australia for a few months!
September - October: Working and chilling out :) ....and the above challenge on the month in detail..

Your favourite episode

Hard to think of just one. some episodes just have amazingly funny scenes, but maybe not the whole episode is as great. Like the scenes where Dean is mocking Sam about his fear of clowns are hilarious but the rest of that episode was ok, not spectacular though! I think for my favourite, it has to be a funny episode and so I'm going with Season  Episode 8: Changing Channels. In this episode, the boys meet the Trickster who puts them into TV land.. and in order to get out of TV land they have to play the roles he gives them (including Sabrina the Teenage Witch! and a take piss intro to Supernatural!).. check it out!

Your favourite funny moment

My favourite moment is the same as my favourite Castiel scene.. Everytime I even just think about it I start grinning like mad :D

How would you get yourself into the plot, who would you be, what would you mean to the characters

Oh dear... I dream about this a lot! Currently the plan is to turn up as a half-witch (but a good half-witch) & hunter and help the boys get together what they need to perform the spell on the Demons Tablet. While trying to complete the spell, I'd be doing normal hunter stuff with the boys. And of course, Dean and I fall madly in love and have lil hunter babies :P (all Supernatural-related dreams end like that to be fair though...!)

In fairness, who could resist him! ;)

I wish the Leviathans didn't escape from Purgatory... so in essence, I wish Castiel never became god! If the Leviathans didn't come then Sam and Dean would be hunting as normal and wouldn't have been separated for a year, changing everything!

About Me Challenge

Your day in great detail

I woke up at 8am and lazed about. Started work at 10. Today I was covering breaks and lunches for first half of the day. One annoying thing of doing breaks is when someone comes back late and then in turn causes everyone elses breaks/lunches to be later than they're meant to be. This happened with 2 people today -_- I just think it's really inconsiderate to be honest. Funny thing when I was covering one person's lunch was these two old women from Cork city argued over who was going to pay for a few things.. it really reminded me of when Mrs Doyle and her friend argued over who was going to pay for tea and ended up being thrown in jail! That incident hand me smirking all day!

Then I had lunch in the canteen with one of the girls and we did our usual bitching about the general public :) Then I came back down and went on Express (my favourite) and it was weirdly busy all day. So in between serving people, 2 of the girls on Express too and I had fun complaining and making fun of people! Then home time, I had apple crumble for dinner and have been munching on Dairy Milk Caramel bars since... and now blogging!
